Dr Daniel McGlade

Dan grew up and was educated in Melbourne and achieved direct entry into medicine. During his medical training he worked at hospitals across Australia including Geelong, Tamworth, Darwin, Woolongong, Newcastle, Gold Coast and Sydney.

During his training career he worked within the discipline of General Surgery before specialising in Vascular Surgery.
Upon completing his fellowship exam for the Royal College of Surgeons, Dan transitioned immediately into working as an independent Specialist Surgeon in the field of vascular surgery,
where he has worked at prestigious hospitals across Australia. Such hospitals include St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Gold Coast University Hospital, Buderim Private Hospital, Sunshine Coast University Hospital and After working five years on the Sunshine Coast where Dan gained vast experience and became Director of Vascular Surgery he and his family have relocated to Sydney, where he will service the Central Coast District and Sydney’s North Shore suburbs.

Dan offers holistic and innovative care and is passionate about achieving the best possible medical results for his patients through individualised management plans. Improving patient’s quality of life by alleviating their pain and discomfort is paramount and ultimately the most fulfilling part of Dans work.
Dan has worked side by side with some of Australia’s top pioneering surgeons and heads of surgical departments during his training years, where he has developed advanced surgical techniques and lifesaving emergency skills.
With extensive training in both open and endovascular surgery Dan’s focuses on combining the surgical and medical management of vascular disease to tailor an individual treatment plan for each patient.

Dan has travelled to America to establish relationships and learn from the major Aortic and Endovascular Surgical centres such as Keck Medical in 2019, 2022 and 2023.
Dan exhibits strong interests in medical academia and always strives to work within the highest framework of evidence-based practice and has medical publications too his name. Dan is dedicated in assisting junior doctors develop their medical knowledge and surgical skills, by guiding and supervising surgical trainees. Dan is currently a convenor for WAVE (West Australian vascular exam course).
Where he assists in coordinating and designing a course that benefits surgical trainees improve their techniques and skill to assist in passing The Royal Australian College of Surgeons Fellowship exam.

Outside of Surgery Dan has always been involved within the community working as a Rescue firefighter in Victoria and NSW since 2000. He also enjoys surfing, travelling and woodworking.
